The Vision

We, the residents of the Old Evergreen Highway appreciate our neighborhood for its quietness, well-tended historic and new homes, along with its old charm and character. This oldest thoroughfare dating back to the 1800's, and first paved road of Clark County, the atmosphere and its naturally serene surroundings of 200 year old Evergreen trees and breathtaking views of the mighty Columbia River, the Old Evergreen Highway will continue to attract and maintain generations of families.

With support, we envision ample opportunities for walking and biking through a safe pedestrian facility. We envision a safe, low-density historic neighborhood that serves many age groups and activity interests.

We value our parks, natural springs and the historic nature of our area, with the vision of increasing their accessibility and usefulness to our neighborhood and interest in its natural resources for generations to enjoy.

Old Evergreen Highway Trail Coalition raises $71,000 for trail planning.

Thanks to a generous $20,000 anonymous matching donation, the Old Evergreen Highway raffle contest and campaign raised $71,000, which is only $9,000 shy of the group's $80,000 fundraising goal. The raffle contest provided the Coalition a terrific opportunity to engage the community in meaningful and informative conversations about the importance of constructing a safe walkway along the Old Evergreen Highway. The Parks Foundation is pleased to partner with groups and organizations in supporting special projects and fundraising campaigns for the parks, trails, and recreation programs of Clark County.
